2004 WOBS v School Tennis Match On Speech Day, 29th May, 2004, WOBS took on the school in a tennis match. The WOBS team of Andrew Boys (R '64), Chris McCourt (B '83), Crispin Hayhoe (S '82), William Pollen (S '94)and Sean Buckley (G '83) were keen to repeat the winning perforamce of last year's match. But it was not to be. The boys, who did not appear to have broken into a sweat by the end of the match, left the WOBS players sweaty, dishevelled and beetroot-faced with not a set to show for their efforts. All eight sets played went to the School.

Tennis Report 2003

Congratulations to the WOBS who bravely took up the challenge from "young" boys at Worth to play them in a tennis tournament.

Some might have bet on youth but against the odds the Old Boys were victorious, beating the current boys by 8 sets to 4.

Worth's tennis coach Chris Chalcraft later commented: "It was a lovely occasion and I know the boys enjoyed playing in what for some will be there last match for the school. Playing against the Old Boys made that all the more special and I hope that next year we can do the same, albeit with a reversal of the result!"
