Christ the King RC Chapel Refurbishment Appeal RM Academy Sandhurst The Academy's Catholic Chapel is being refurbished 50 years after it was originally established on a temporary basis.
The chapel is at the heart of Sandhurst life in Chapel Square and the new design will reach out to all those who worship in the Academy, providing a meditative environment in contrast to the Royal Memorial Chapel.
A personal letter has already been sent to all serving Catholic Officers in both the Regular and Territorial Army by the Principal Roman Catholic Chaplain, Monsignor Phelim Rowland. This will be followed up with a letter from the Appeal office enclosing literature and a donation form for the project which needs to raise £350,000 by May 2004.
Many Old Boys may have been contacted directly to help with this appeal, however WOBS would like, to ask Old Boys to make a donation through the Society so that the contribution Worth Old Boys have made to Sandhurst and the benefit they have gained from their time there can be recorded in some useful way in the new Chapel, for example, by buying a piece of furniture or equipment for the Chapel. For more information click here. If you would like to support this appeal please e-mail Marie-Clare McMenemy, Secretary, Worth Old Boys' Society.
