CHARITIES SUPPORTED BY WOBS

Throughout the year the WOBS committee are approached by individuals requesting financial support for various charities. Each request is judged on its own merit. Sometimes the committee decide to give direct financial support and other times publicity here on wobsnet is offered. Links to details of charities the WOBS committee would like to ask you to support will be publicised here.

BRUISED REEDS

Bruised Reeds is an initiative set up by the Old Gregorians and taken up by WOBS in 2002.  It was founded as a means of offering confidential support to those who may have fallen on hard times.

The first point of contact is Fr Kevin at the Abbey on 01342-710338

Please remember that :

  • Bruised Reeds can only help when a need is known about
  • Bruised Reeds needs to know of any Old Boy who would be willing to help act as a mentor to a fellow old boy in need.  It is very often one's own contemporaries who can do the most to help an individual.
