The Blue Paper - the annual magazine

But you do have to be a member of Worth Society to receive a copy. Click here to download a selection of sample pages from the latest 08/09 issue.
Interaction with the school
An annual Worth Society careers seminar is held at Worth in the Summer term for the boys in Years 11, 12 and 13. This has become a very popular event at the school and is now established in the school calendar. Worthians from a huge range of career paths come and speak at the Seminar and share their experiences of work.
The Worth Society Global Action Awards (GAAs)
Worth Society has created a bursary called the Global Action Awards. Worthians planning to spend time in voluntary service are invited to apply for a GAA and a number have applied successfully for an Award over the last seven years. The terms, conditions and application procedures are available on http://www.worthsociety.org.uk/.
Sports
Rugby, Cricket and Golf all continue to be major sporting activities. Each runs a separate club and is closely connected with the Society. For a number of years Worthians have had a sailing team in the Arrow Trophy Regatta; Worthians play versus school tennis and cricket teams annually on Speech Day; and cricket fixtures are arranged throughout the year. Worth Society is always happy to consider supporting the establishment of new sporting initiatives.
The Arts
In 2001 a theatre production company, Epiphany, was formed and there have been three productions performed by Worthians. Together with old girls from Burgess Hill School for Girls, Epiphany has performed Three Sisters, Twelfth Night a lo Tango and Noises Off in Worth School's Performing Arts Centre.
Bruised Reeds
Worth Society has joined the Old Gregorians (Downside's Old Boys' Society) in this initiative which provides support to Worthians who may have run into difficulties in their lives, for example suffering from depression, drug addiction, or alcoholism, etc.
Reunions
Regular reunions are held during the year ranging from informal pub events to wine tastings, formal dinners for specific year groups, and reunions at Worth.
Networking
There is no denying that there if you're planning on changing your career or job, there is great potential for finding a fellow Worthian in a relevant line of business who will lend a helping hand ‘just because you went to Worth'. Think of a job and there will be a Worthian somewhere in the world who does it! As an individual you can always contact Olivia Henley, Secretary of Worth Society, and she can provide details of Worthians who have given permission for their details to be released.
